  • Can students use organic chemistry from home?

Yes, they can use Windows, Apple Mac OSX. See below for mobile device options.

  • Does it work from a VLE / LMS?

Yes you can link to it. Our new version due in 2023 will be itself be based on our own Moodle LMS.

  • Must we use Chrome or Edge or Firefox to view the animation?

Yes. See the computer specs below

  • Suppose it's just me that wants to use Organic Chemistry?

You can choose the low-cost version for teacher or individual use

  • Can I have this on a CD?

No, installed software is too fragile on school computers these days.

  • Do you cover the latest GCE?

Pretty much all the concepts you teach are covered. We have the topics to match the IB, GCE, and several international exams.

  • Can't I teach instead using free animation on the Internet?

Probably you can - but you will not find consistent quality or a consistent approach. You'll also find the cognitive level of the material to go from GCE to degree level. Here you have incredible coverage in one place. As teachers ourselves, we felt the need to provide that one place and so we worked with professional illustrators and animators to make this product. We feel that the free Internet has good material but it is miserably inconsistent for teaching across a whole 'A' level.

  • Will I get free upgrades to new versions?

Yes. With this online version you always have the latest version.

  • How do I order organic chemistry?

You can order here and buy online or phone or post or email an order.

  • What about browser safety - is it safe to use Organic Chemistry?

It is very safe to use this content, now in use for 15 years. We're teachers and we haven't put bad things in our animation.

  • What are the computer / mobile requirements?

You don't need Adobe Flash, Java or Chime to use it anymore. Until our new version is complete (we started in 2022 and we're mostly there) you will need a browser extension as described here. It works on very old and very new devices. An iPad or Android tablet will need a Flash-emulator (Dolphin, Flashfox; Photon; Puffin). If that's important to your students we'll let you try this out first - we do have customers who teach with an iPad. The animation looks best on the largest screen. Some detail will be tiny on a phone.
